"New" Furniture Purchases!

This weekend I made a few purchases for the new house.  Through a local garage sale facebook page and estate sale, I bought 3 new things that I am really excited about.

1. This huge armoire!

I haven't decided what I am going to do with it yet ...  I have a few ideas:


(A) Two-toned accents                  (B) Add glass to doors             (C)  Paint a fun color
                            

2. This super fun piece!

I haven't decided if I am going to leave it as stained wood, or if I am going to completely re-do it and paint it a color.  It also has cool little key holes on each drawer, which I love.

3.  I also bought two wooden shutters for $5.  They are brand new and I am going to do something fun with them.  Ideas:

My name is Lauren. My husband Jeff and I got married in July 2012. We met through our college ministry at The University of Alabama. We have been together for over 4 years, and we now live and work in Tuscaloosa. I work at UA, and Jeff directs a non-profit organization in Tuscaloosa. We have recently bought our first home and are really excited about decorating it and making it our own. I hope to use this blog to chronicle all of our hard work and the transformation that our house will undergo!

Oh, and we have a Great Dane named Riggins. He is a huge part of our lives and we love him!
